    During a routine cleaning, the hygienist uses a small, metal scaler to scrape off tartar above and below the gum line, and/or an ultrasonic vibrating device to loosen plaque and tartar.

    If you develop a cavity or you crack or chip a tooth, it’s important to meet with a dentist as soon as possible. An oral prosthetic, such as a crown, can preserve the strength and appearance of your tooth, preventing the need for an extraction or other, more invasive treatments.

Dr. Semaie received his Bachelor’s of Science from University of Maryland. He furthered his education and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from West Virginia University. Throughout his dental career, he completed extensive professional continuing education courses to stay at the forefront of modern dentistry. With expertise in implants, mini- implant retained dentures, fast braces, Invisalign, veneers, and crowns, he provides advanced care to help you with a gentle touch and a compassionate approach, ensuring your comfort every step of the way in achieving your dream smile.
